New verification regulations
PDF Print E-mail

stempelSince 1 April 2007, the police have only been placing a high priority on electronic break-in reports that have been verified by private alarm control centres (PACs). This new regulation has been defined in an agreement between the security sector and the police and its aim is to reduce the number of false alarms for break-ins.
The police and the Dutch Association of Security Organisations (Verbond van Beveiligingsorganisaties, VvBO) are making an appeal to people who use electronic burglar alarm systems. As of 1 April 2008, users of electronic burglar alarm systems are required to have taken appropriate measures for verification, if they want to call on police resources for break-in alarms after that date.
